If you feel the city’s pulse quickening this morning, you aren’t imagining it. We have officially entered the “high-water mark” of the Fort Lauderdale season. Between the world’s most prestigious boat show, the most romantic night of the year, and a sunrise marathon on the sand, the next seven days are the definition of the Florida lifestyle. Here is your playbook for navigating the week of Feb 9–15.

1. The Boat Show Buzz (Feb 11–15) The Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show officially begins next Wednesday. While the exhibits are in Miami, the heart of the yachting community is right here in Fort Lauderdale.

  • The Logistics: If you’re heading south, take the Brightline. It is the only “tastemaker-approved” way to skip the I-95 gridlock and arrive at the show refreshed for a day on the docks.

2. The Cavallino Classic: Speed & Style (Feb 13) For our automotive enthusiasts, the Cavallino Classic takes over the coast on Friday. This world-renowned celebration of Ferrari heritage brings some of the rarest cars in existence to our doorstep. It’s the perfect high-octane warm-up for the weekend ahead.

3. Valentine’s Day Strategy (Saturday, Feb 14) Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday this year, meaning every waterfront table is a prize.

  • The Local Choice: If you want intimacy away from the Las Olas crowds, book a table at Wine Garden in North Beach Village or The Katherine.

  • The “Love at First Bark” Expo: Start your Saturday morning at the Galleria Fort Lauderdale (11 AM – 2 PM) for a doggie fashion show and adoption event. It’s the most heartwarming way to kick off the day.

4. The 2026 A1A Marathon (Sunday, Feb 15) The week culminates in 26.2 miles of coastal views. The A1A Marathon kicks off at 5:45 AM. Even if you aren’t running, the finish line party at 1100 Seabreeze Blvd is the place to be for a celebratory post-race brunch.

The Real Estate Perspective This is historically the week where we see the most international “lifestyle buyers” touring our waterfront estates. If you’re in town for the boats or the race and realize you’re ready for a permanent dock in Harbor Beach, we are available for private consultations all week.
