1. The Cavallino Classic (Feb 12–13) For our fellow automotive enthusiasts, the Cavallino Classic brings the world’s finest Ferraris to South Florida. While the main concours is in Palm Beach, the surrounding events and “connoisseur” rallies often wind through our scenic A1A. It’s a week of pure Italian elegance and engineering.
2. IGNITE Broward: 5th Anniversary (Feb 13–22) This is the “can’t miss” event of the month. IGNITE Broward is celebrating five years of transforming our city into a digital canvas. We recommend starting at Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park here in Fort Lauderdale to see the immersive light sculptures before heading to Dania Beach. It’s free, family-friendly, and a masterclass in modern art.
3. A1A Marathon & Half Marathon (Feb 14–15) Whether you’re running or cheering from a beachfront brunch spot, the A1A Marathon is a Fort Lauderdale staple. Watching thousands of runners take over the coastline at sunrise is a powerful reminder of the active, outdoor lifestyle that defines our community.
4. Valentine’s Day “Weekend of Love” With the holiday falling on a Saturday, local favorites like Chima Steakhouse and Shooters Waterfront are offering 3-day “Weekend of Love” packages. If you haven’t secured a table for Saturday night, many of the best menus are also available on Friday the 13th for a more intimate “early” celebration.
