If you’ve noticed the traffic patterns shifting or the marinas reaching capacity this evening, it’s because Fort Lauderdale has officially entered its most prestigious week of the year. From global musical legends to the world’s most impressive vessels, the next six days are a masterclass in South Florida luxury. Here is your “Insider’s Look” at the week of Feb 10.

1. A Tuesday Night with Legends: Gipsy Kings (Feb 10) Kick off the week at Hard Rock Live tomorrow night. The Gipsy Kings bring their world-renowned blend of flamenco and Latin jazz to the stage at 8:00 PM. It is the definitive high-energy start to a week that only gets more intense from here.

2. The Boat Show Migration (Feb 11–15) The Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show officially begins Wednesday. While the primary exhibits are in Miami Beach and Downtown Miami, the secondary “migration” of the yachting world happens right here in our canals.

  • Tastemaker Move: The new Miami Beach Yacht Collection on Collins Avenue is the spot for superyacht enthusiasts this year. Use the Brightline to bypass the I-95 congestion—it’s the only way to travel during Boat Show week.

3. Andrea Bocelli: 30 Years of Romanza (Feb 12) On Thursday, the legendary Andrea Bocelli celebrates three decades of his iconic album at Hard Rock Live. For those looking for a sophisticated, world-class evening before the Valentine’s weekend rush, this is the ticket of the season.

4. The A1A Marathon & 5K (Feb 14–15) While Saturday is for romance (don’t forget your reservations at DUNE or Mastro’s!), Sunday morning belongs to the runners. The A1A Marathon kicks off at 5:45 AM. The energy at the finish line at 1100 Seabreeze Blvd is unmatched—grab a coffee and join the community to cheer on the athletes conquering the coast.

The Real Estate Perspective This is “Decision Week” for many of our international buyers. The visibility of the yachting lifestyle often leads to a surge in inquiries for deep-water estates in Las Olas Isles and Harbor Beach. If you’re in town for the show and want to see what “Life on the Water” looks like from the shore, we have a few exclusive sunset showings available.

The Heather Ashleay Team are lifestyle tastemakers and the best realtors in Fort Lauderdale. Send us a message, we would love to connect.
