Ferraris, Neon, and Fleet Week: The Luxury Edit

The sun is setting on Monday, February 9th, and if the increased presence of supercars on A1A hasn’t tipped you off, we have reached the pinnacle of the winter season. While the Miami Boat Show (Feb 11–15) dominates the headlines, the most exclusive events are happening right here under the radar. Here is your guide to the sophisticated side of the next seven days.

1. The Cavallino Classic (Feb 13) On Friday, the focus shifts from the water to the asphalt. The Cavallino Classic brings the world’s most significant Ferraris to the coast. This is more than a car show; it’s a celebration of Italian heritage and automotive art. For our clients who appreciate precision engineering, this is the “must-attend” event of the week.

2. IGNITE Broward: 5th Anniversary (Feb 13–22) Starting Friday night, Fort Lauderdale and Dania Beach transform into an outdoor gallery of light and sound. IGNITE Broward returns for its 5th year with immersive installations at MAD Arts and Reverend Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park.

  • Tastemaker Move: Visit the MAD Arts installations in Dania Beach first—the interactive exhibits are a masterclass in how technology and art intersect in 2026.

3. Boat Show Preview Day (Feb 11) If you are attending the Miami International Boat Show, Wednesday is “Preview Day” (12 PM – 7 PM). This is the only day to truly tour the Miami Beach Yacht Collection on Collins Avenue before the weekend crowds arrive. Our team will be on the docks scouting the latest in hull design and onboard tech for our waterfront buyers.

4. The A1A Marathon Expo (Feb 13–14) Even if you aren’t running the full 26.2 miles on Sunday, the Publix Health & Fitness Expo at the Broward County Convention Center is worth a visit on Friday or Saturday. It’s the hub for the city’s wellness community and a great place to see the latest in fitness innovation.

The Real Estate Perspective We are seeing a specific trend this February: the “Fly-In Buyer.” High-net-worth individuals are using the convenience of FLL’s Private Terminals to attend the Cavallino Classic and the Boat Show, often with a list of Harbor Beach properties to tour in between. If you’re looking for a home that can accommodate both a super-car collection and a 100-foot vessel, we have two off-market opportunities we’d love to share.
